KATIE HUGHES

Hi! I’m Katie, and I geek out about dogs, beer, and good art. I grew up around the Boston area and stumbled into graphic design freshman year of college...well, more like my boyfriend at the time asked me to do his Illustrator homework. But, oh how thankful I am to have agreed, finding the world of Adobe at my fingertips.

 

After graduating from Roger Williams University in 2018 I landed my first job at Jack's Abby Craft Lagers as the Graphic Design Intern. As one of only two In-House designers for the third largest brewery in MA, I've worn every hat you can think of, creating packaging, digital/print assets, sales collateral, website design, animations, illustration, and seasonal campaigns. Four years later, I became lead graphic designer successfully creating and launching a brand refresh as well as a 3 year partnership beer with the Boston Celtics. 

 

To me, good design is more than the skill of putting mouse to pad; it takes out of the box thinking, putting yourself behind the eyes of others, and a lot of research into why?
